Our Team
Meet the Chef’s Expressions team of visionaries:
Jerry Edwards, CPCE
President and Corporate Chef
In addition to building one of the most successful catering companies in his region, Jerry has traveled the world, training and assisting caterers, chefs and event planners to animate their guest’s culinary experience.
Since inception, Jerry’s leadership led to two separate National Catering Company of the Year Awards. He personally won over 50 industry awards and holds an honorary doctorate in hospitality, but is most proud of his NACE Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award.
Jerry has been a contributing writer for several national magazines including Catersource, Special Events and Catering. He is currently working on two books, one for the industry titled “A Chef’s Perspective” and one for the culinary public titled “Seasons of the Grape,” a book on seasonal cooking and wine pairing in wine growing regions around the globe.
Jerry also champions many charities for children’s issues, social causes and adult diseases. Jerry is the current spokesperson for Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland. Each year he also spearheads a Chef’s Dinner, raising over $100,000 for the charity. In 2011, Chef’s Expressions was honored with the Business Philanthropy Award from the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of catering, consulting and administration, Jerry finds peace and solitude in his farm-style kitchen where he creates wine dinners for both family and friends.

Will Jones
Executive Chef
Our Executive Chef, Will Jones joined Chef’s Expressions in 1997 as an intern, working only one day a week. In the Fall of 1997, Will attended the Baltimore International Culinary College and graduated in the Spring of 1999. While in attendance at BIC, Will traveled to Ireland for an International Culinary Course and Experience. In 1999, Will began a full-time career with Chef’s Expressions as prep cook. His fine palate, calm demeanor and organizational skills make him a natural leader in the kitchen.
In the past 20 years, he has honed his culinary skills to become a seasoned expert in the culinary field. Will is an excellent Chef in his own right and supervises the culinary team at Chef’s Expressions in executing the finest catering cuisine in the region.
David Derewicz
General Manager
David joined the Chef’s Expressions team in 2017. His passion for food eventually led him into a 30 year career in hospitality. Early in his vibrant tenure at The Prime Rib restaurant, David developed his true appreciation for serving exquisite food, providing superior service, and establishing meaningful relationships with guests. David brings more than 20 years of combined experience as the GM for The Prime Rib, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and The Oregon Grille. His relentless commitment to excellence has earned David and his team continuous recognition from Zagat for #1 in both food & service, Baltimore Magazine’s Top Restaurants, Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” and the prestigious DiRona Award. When he’s not busy working, you can find David on the NCR hike and bike trail with his wife Gretchen, and their Weimaraner & Labrador, exploring the next travel adventure, and enjoying food out with friends or cooking at home.
David Brooks
Executive Pastry Chef
David Brooks is a favorite among the Chef’s Expressions team – mostly because he always has sweets around him! David is native to Essex, England but while at a four-star boutique hotel in the Isle of Jersey, an American entrepreneur lured him to Baltimore to consult for several bakeries. As Chef’s Expressions’ Pastry Chef, he delights our clients with his dessert sensations such as Cheesecake Lollipops, Peanut Butter Sins, and Apple Pie Pops. His wedding cakes are not only beautiful, but taste delicious – with flavors such as Carrot Cake, Red Velvet, Blueberry Lemon, and Chocolate Mousse.
